The Foundation of Fitness – Building a Plan to Align with My CPAP-Free Goal

In 2013, I woke up gasping for air. My wife rushed me to the ER, where doctors confirmed my oxygen levels were dangerously low. That moment set off a whirlwind of tests, misdiagnoses, and, eventually, the realization that I had sleep apnea.

Over the years, I’ve become dependent on my CPAP machine, but I don’t want to rely on it forever. My doctors have given me clear benchmarks—lower my BMI, reduce my body fat, and strengthen my breathing muscles. So, I’ve built a fitness plan to do just that.

It’s not about perfection. I’ve missed workouts, made excuses, and adjusted my plan along the way. But I’ve also lost 15 lbs, dropped my body fat by 3%, and feel stronger than I have in years.

This is my journey to better sleep, better fitness, and ultimately, ditching the CPAP for good.
